V-belt/A-type (standard) 100-130 inches
Among the belts used as a means of power transmission, the most widely used is the V-shaped cross section belt.
Compared to ordinary flat belts, it has higher friction, less slippage and greater transmission power.
They are used in a wide range of industrial machinery, from light-load to heavy-load electric machines, as well as home appliances, motorcycles , automobiles, and agricultural machinery. Thinner belts are easier to bend.
There are four types of V-belt cross sections: A, B, M, and K. Please refer to the diagram below.
<How to read the part number>
In the case of A20 ,
A is the cross-sectional shape of the belt
Effective pitch circumference: 20 inches (50.8 cm)
It represents:
< How to measure belt length>
Measure along the midpoint of the inner circumference of the belt (measure on the outer circumference only for M-type).
The length of the belt is the same across all manufacturers.
<Formula for calculating length>
Effective belt pitch = center distance x 2 + π x V-groove pulley pitch diameter
